An unsigned early 20th C. Franz Bergman, Austrian cold painted bronze table lamp with a figure of an Bedouin man seated on a carpet under a tent, smoking a pipe with various packages and earthenware vessels around him. A rifle lays by his side on the carpet. A camel stands outside and a palm tree reaches up behind the tent; within the shade of the tent is a single socket with illuminates the interior scene of the tent.

The underside shows old nuts that secure the arrangement to the base, along with various labels. One appears to be an old price tag, another is an electrical label from Ontario, and the last is a retailer sticker for "The Robert Simpson Company Limited" from Canada.

We believe this to be by Franz Bergman, regardless of it's lack of signature. A similar one can be seen on the Antiques Roadshow unsigned, and the appraiser and his experts agreed that it was still a Bergman Bronze. The quality of this piece, among other things,  leads us to believe this is a Bergman as well.

Good overall condition. Appears to have an old repair to one of the tent legs nearest the figure. Loss to the camels tail. Lamp is in working condition and was rewired sometime in the mid-20th century. Very presentable piece. See photos for complete description.
