RARE Antique Molded McKee & Brothers Uranium Glass Carriage Bowl c. 1865 We are offering... A rare McKee & Brothers uranium glass carriage. ( bread bowl) The carriage is one of the only few actually made with uranium versus Vaseline glass, which is less valuable. Glass colored with uranium salts is easily identified because uranium fluoresces bright green under ultraviolet light. Uranium glass was particularly popular in the early 19th to the 20th century, when large quantities of uranium salts were being produced as byproducts of the radium extraction industry. Approx.
