Remarkable Victorian Brooch in 14k-16k Gold & Malachite This 19th Century Brooch Features a 1 1/8" x 7/16" x 7/16" block of Malachite wrapped with a beaded belt of gold. the Malachite block hosts gold mounts to Four Malachite Drops. These Drops are each mounted by a cap and chain. This is a pin Back Brooch, This brooch also features a loop on the rear for an additional pendant Dimensions: 2 1/4" from top to bottom drop 1 1/2" wide Approx Overall Weight: 30.9g Condition: this brooch is in good age related condition. The head block of malachite has minor fretting. Looking at the brooch head on, from left to right: The left drop retains it's original cap, it has never broken, the second to left has a replaced cap and has been repaired after a minor break, the second to right drop has a replaced cap/ has been broken and chipped and glued, the far right drop retains it's original cap and apears to have never been broken, some of the gold retains an original age related patina.
