An 18th / early 19th c. Heavy Brass South East Asian Betelset,
Consisting of a Rectangular box on baluster-shaped legs,
the lid is a removable tray divided at the top into a long narrow compartment
and 3 compartments opposite, with a space between for a Betel Shear.
At one end, a compartment with hinged lid decorated with a Bird.
This item provided the user a convenient storage and preparation station
for the Chewing of Sirih, Betelnut, Slake Lime mixes.
