Art Nouveau Pewter Vase Designed and Signed by Andre Villien

This rare and stunning monumental 24 inch repousse floral art nouveau pewter vase is of circa 1905-1924. This tall and impressive vase is in very good original condition its antique patina is very appealing. It features a high relief floral design throughout done by Andre Villien, a French sculptor and decorator born in the 19th century and was most active in Paris in the early 20th century. Villien's signature is at the foot of the base and underneath is his logo for pewter pieces and "L'etain Francais Paris, depose" pressed into the bottom.

Beautiful original condition. There are three tiny pinholes from the artist's construction due to the high repousse of the pewter flowers. They can only be seen from the inside of the vase. There is a small dent on the raised foot rim and another minor dent on the underside of the top rim.
