The purse is adorned with a pin-stripe pattern and is monogrammed in cursive "MES". The marks identify this antique piece to be made in Birmingham in 1915, The "J.G.L--" marks the purse by the maker John Gloster Ltd (the "td" has worn off with age) The chatelaine ring slips on your finger for easy carry. Approx. Dimensions: Height of just the purse: 2 3/4" Width: 3 3/4" at its widest Depth: 3/4" (unopened) Top of ring to top of purse's clasp: 3 1/4" Approx. Dimensions: 74 g Condition: This early 1900s silver chatelaine purse is in beautiful age-related condition. There's overall wear from use with a couple of minor indents.
