A charming 1913 sterling tea caddy marked by makers George Nathan & Ridley Hayes with a shield hallmark of "G.N R.H". This silver tea caddy has the township mark of Chester, England; A shield bearing the town’s arms, a sword and three sheaves of wheat. The cursive "N" dates this piece C. 1913. The caddy's exterior front side & top lid is hand engraved with swirling & floral motifs, and the interior of the piece is gilt. We've enclosed a free period brass or bronze tea caddy spoon. Approx. Dimensions: Height: 3" Width: 2 3/4" Depth: 2" Approx. Weight: 162g Condition: This 1913 Nathan & Hayes Chester sterling tea caddy is in beautiful age-related condition.
