An ornate German .800 silver tea caddy depicting a scene of cherubs playing instruments together, surrounded by swirling floral patterns. The head of a devil-horned man can be found spying on them in the top left corner of the pattern.
Makers marks can be found on the caddy's neck, as well as on the neck of cap. The national Reichsmark of a crescent moon & crown (Halbmond & Krone) represent the entire German state post 1886, when they abolished the use of individual city marks. The precise name of maker of this silver is unidentified & could not be found among online encyclopedias.
