A beautiful small, jasper pitcher made by Wedgwood of England as a souvenir for travelers visiting the island of Bermuda. The pitcher has an unusual leaf border at the top and the traditional rope twist handle. On one side is an applied crest of a ship with a banner that reads "Hog Coyne 1612 Bermuda". The bottom of the jug is marked with the impressed "Wedgwood" mark only. Which means this was made before 1891 when the word "England" was added. Princess Louise of Great Britain visited the island in 1883 and started the tourism trend for Bermuda. This indicates that this piece was made for the tourist trade sometime between 1883 and 1891. Approx. Dimensions: Height: 4 5/8" Width: 4" (with handle and spout) Top Diameter: 2 5/8" Bottom Diameter: 3" Condition: There is some cracking to the leaf applique near the handle and a few spots throughout that can be cleaned off. Otherwise, the pitcher is in excellent condition, there are no chips or cracks. Please see all photos for a complete description. All CA Residents must pay CA Sales Tax LOC F
