We are offering an 18TH - 19TH c., signed Chinese Kitchen or Stove God, 
right foot is placed on a turtle.

The kitchen deity – also known as the Stove God

is the most important of a plethora of Chinese domestic gods that protect the hearth and family. 
The Kitchen God is recognized in Chinese folk religionChinese mythology, and Taoism

 who is believed to report to the celestial gods on family conduct 
and to have it within his power to bestow poverty or riches on individual families.
