Early 19th Century Chinese Eyeglasses, white brass (Paktong), Folding Temples and shagreen Case We are offering... A beautiful pair of early 19th century Chinese Eyeglasses with folding temples in a shagreen case. The lenses have a hand ground, round circular shape measuring 1 5/8" in diameter. The temples fold in half then fold flatly once again as well as have a beautiful detailing on the outer sides. The shagreen case has a beautiful Paktong, white brass trim that is nailed in. Approx. Dimensions: Glasses Height: 1 3/4" Glasses Width: 5" Glasses Depth: 3 1/4" Glasses Depth with Extended Temples: 5 3/4" Case Height: 1" Case Width: 8" Case Depth: 2 1/2" Condition: Items in great age related condition. Inside of case is slightly worn and has some tarnish on the Paktong white brass trim. Edges of lenses are slightly chipped, due to hand grinding of lenses.
