We are now offering a Very well executed Still Life of Fruit with stems and foliage at base, Oil on Board. Painting is initialed by artist, lower right corner.Also signed & dated on reverse. Period Oak Frame On the reverse reads; “Painted By M. McGillivary, 1915, Otago, New Zealand. Purchased By Mission Gallery From Artist’s Daughter.” M. McGillivary most likely exibited paintings at the Otago Art Society where New Zealand artists exibited paintings from 1876 - 1928It currently occupies part of the Dunedin Railway Station. Measurements: 19.5” x 23.75” Framed 15.25” x 19.75” Site Condition: Very good original condition. Later Period Frame. Two minor paint loss spots. Please see all photos for a complete description.
