A Small to Medium sized heavy Bronze Early Mortar & Pestle
This smaller size was used in an apothecary shops
to grind medicinal potions.
This Mortar has twin handles and a tulip shape top.
This style was quite often seen in Dutch or Northern European Countries.
The body of the mortar has horizontal circular designs.
The Pestle has the same circular designs.
This Mortar & Pestle is both useful and decorative.
Dimensions: Mortar: 4" high, 4 1/2" across the top
2 5/8" across the bottom.
Pestle: 7 1/2" long
Condition: A very good age-related condition, a few minor nicks, and scuffs from use, original old patina.
